Watch this short video for the main instructions on how to remove and replace the rear wiper motor on the fourth series Volkswagen Golf. First, remove the rear wiper and the arm by taking off the plastic cover and undoing the securing nut; then open the boot and remove the plastic panel of the tailgate by unscrewing the securing screws and levering at the sides.

At this point, unscrew all the screws of the window lift motor, disconnecting the electrical connector; then simply remove it!
