Replacing the Radio on the Volkswagen Golf 5

Unscrew the two screws located at the top of the central dashboard after removing the small plastic drawer. Once the screws are removed, you can detach the air vent trim. This will free up access to unscrew the two upper screws of the radio. Remove its surround and unscrew the additional four screws now exposed. Done! At this point, all that remains is to pull out the radio and disconnect its rear connector. For the installation of the new radio, simply proceed in reverse order. This is a fairly straightforward operation.
