Replacing the Outer Mirror Cap on a Volkswagen Golf

Hello! Unfortunately, if you want to completely remove and then replace the outer mirror cap, you will first need to remove the door panel (many other tutorials show you how to do this) and disconnect the cables related to the motor of the mirror. Then, remove the small triangular plastic piece next to the window by unscrewing the Torx T20 screw. This will give you access to the Torx T40 screw that secures the cap. You can now extract it from the door while also pulling out the cables. For reassembly, simply reverse the process. Good luck!
