Unfortunately, if you want to completely remove and then replace the outer mirror cap you will first have to remove the door panel (on many other tutorials we show you how to do it) and disconnect the cables related to the motor of the same mirror. Then remove the small triangular plastic placed next to the window by unscrewing the torx t20 screw. In this way you will have access to the torx t40 that fixes the cap. This can now be extracted from the door by also making the cables slide out. Obviously, for reassembly, all that remains is to proceed backwards. Good job!
