Replacing the remote battery of a Volkswagen is very simple. In this case, we will see how to replace it in the type of remote that also has a metal key. First, extract the key by pulling back the small mechanism located on the upper side. Now, insert a small screwdriver or an equivalent tool into the slot left by the key just removed, and push while levering to separate the rear cover from the base of the remote, as shown in the video. Once the cover is removed, proceed to replace the battery with an equivalent one, namely a CR2032.
