How to Reset the Service Light on a Volkswagen Up?

To reset the Service light on a Volkswagen Up, press and hold the button located on the right side of the instrument cluster while the ignition is off. While holding the button, insert the ignition key into the ignition barrel, turn the key, and switch on the ignition. Once the ignition is on, release the button and then press it again: this will successfully reset the Service light, which you can verify by turning the instrument cluster off and on again.
