Whenever you replace the battery on a Volkswagen vehicle and restart the ignition and engine, a series of warning lights and alarms will appear on the dashboard. To reset all these notifications, follow this simple procedure: start the engine as well as the ignition, then turn the steering wheel fully to the left until it reaches the stop, and then turn it fully to the right until it reaches the stop. This will turn off all error notifications present on the instrument cluster.
