How to Remove Bolt Caps and Wheel Covers on a Volkswagen Car

Model: Volkswagen Volkswagen Various
Part: Wheel

Video tutorial

This video shows how to remove the bolt caps and wheel covers on a Volkswagen car. These caps not only serve an aesthetic purpose but also protect the bolts from potential damage. The vehicles are also fitted with wheel covers that need to be removed to access the wheel bolts.

In the tool kit found in the boot, there is a metal pin with a loop, which is a tool for removing the wheel bolt covers. Insert the end into the hook of the hole at the centre of the cover and pull.

This way, the covers will not be damaged while changing a tyre, for example. To refit, ensure the valve stem is aligned with the hole in the cover and press firmly to secure it to the hub.
