To replace the key fob battery on a Volkswagen Passat B7, press the button located on the side of the chrome trim at the top of the fob. By pressing this button, you can remove the chrome trim and leverage underneath it to detach the plastic cover on the back of the fob. Under this cover, you will find the battery, which can be extracted from its housing and replaced with a new spare part. After replacement, close the fob by reinserting the chrome trim.
