To replace the remote battery on the Volkswagen Golf 7, lift the key by pressing the appropriate button located on the front of the device. Once the key is lifted, lever in its housing to raise the cover on the back of the remote. This will give you access to the battery, which can be removed from its housing: replace it with a new part and after installation, close the remote by lowering the key and securing the cover.
