How to Replace the Timing Belt on a Volkswagen Golf 7?

To replace the timing belt on a Volkswagen Golf 7, open the bonnet and remove the air filter box located on the left side of the engine bay for easier access to the left side of the engine block. You will also need to remove the right front wheel and the inner cover of its wheel arch: this will allow you to loosen the central bolts of the pulleys, reducing the tension on the belt and sliding it out of its housing. Once the new belt is inserted, reassemble all the removed components.
