In order to replace the timing belt of the Volkswagen Golf 7 you have to open the hood and go to remove the air filter box located on the left side of the engine compartment, in order to have easier access to the left side of the engine block. . It will also be necessary to remove the right front wheel and the internal cover of its wheel arch: in this way the central pins of the pulleys can be loosened, reducing the tension of the belt and removing the latter from its housing. Once the new belt has been inserted, all removed components can be mounted.
