How to Replace the Timing Belt on a Volkswagen Golf 7?

To replace the timing belt on a Volkswagen Golf 7, open the bonnet to access the components inside the engine bay: on the left side of the engine block, you will find a cover that must be removed by loosening its fixing screws. Once the screws are loosened, you can locate the timing belt underneath: this must be removed from its housing by loosening the central nut of the tensioner pulley to reduce its tension. This way, the old belt can be removed and replaced with a new one.
