How to remove the instrument cluster from the Volkswagen Golf 7?

To remove the instrument cluster from the Volkswagen Golf 7, detach the plastic covers surrounding the radio and the air vent to the left of the instrument cluster. Once these two covers are removed, you can unscrew the screws underneath that secure the instrument cluster. This way, the unit can be pulled out from its housing by disconnecting the connector at the back. After removing the old instrument cluster, connect the new one, securing it with the screws inside its housing.
