In this tutorial, see how to remove the instrument cluster in a Volkswagen Passat, a very simple operation. First, ensure the key is not inserted. Then, using a plastic trim tool, disengage both the instrument cluster bezel and the central console bezel. Next, remove the left air vent, unscrew all the screws just freed, and the bolt located behind the outer panel. At this point, grasp the instrument cluster, pull it from its housing, and disconnect the various rear connectors. To fit the replacement, simply follow the reverse procedure.
