How to Replace the Number Plate Bulb on a Passat B6

This video shows how to replace the number plate bulb on a Passat B6. It is a very simple operation that should take no more than five minutes. Open the boot and using a crosshead screwdriver, unscrew the light unit located directly in the centre above the number plate. Once the light unit is removed, pull out the bulb from the two slots and insert the new one. Refit the light unit into its housing exactly as it was before and screw in the two screws to secure it. At this point, close the tailgate and test the light by activating the side lights.
