Where to Find the Fuses in a Volkswagen Golf 5

The fuse box in the Volkswagen Golf 5 is located in the engine compartment near the car battery, while the other is found on the outer part of the dashboard (where the door meets when closed). To open the fuse box in the engine compartment, simply remove the cover by releasing the side tabs and pulling off the cover. To replace a fuse, take a small pair of pliers, grasp the fuse to be changed, pull it out, and replace it with one of the same amperage (if the fuse needs replacing, the broken internal bridge will be visible). For the fuse box inside the car, on the outer part of the dashboard, use a plastic tool to remove the cover of the box, locate the fuses, and replace them using the same procedure as for the box in the engine compartment.
