Replacement of Wiper Motor

Model: Volkswagen Golf Golf VII, MK 7, Golf 7 - Years 2012-2019

If moving the wiper control lever does not change the speed of the wipers, there is likely an issue with the wiper motor itself. To replace it, you need to remove the entire control mechanism located just below the plastic grille under the windscreen. Dismantle the wiper arms, remove the plastic grille, and take out the fixing pins of the complete mechanism along with the motor, disconnecting the plug and grommet. To confirm that the problem lies with the motor, you can connect it temporarily and operate it: even when adjusting the speed with the lever, the mechanism does not speed up and you may hear noise from the motor itself. Replace the motor and then reverse the process for installation.
