If you need to replace the timing belt on this vehicle, you can find general guidance in this description and in the video. This type of intervention is quite complex, so to carry it out as a DIY project, you should be fairly experienced. First, remove the front right wheel, the inner wheel arch liner, and the air filter. Then, proceed to remove the upper timing belt cover and take off the auxiliary belt. Dismantle the upper engine mount and access from underneath the vehicle to remove the crankshaft pulley and the lower cover. Next, position the locking pins when the crankshaft is at top dead centre to maintain the engine timing. Finally, loosen the tensioner and remove the belt.
