Volkswagen Polo - Video tutorial

Model: Volkswagen Polo MK III, Polo 3, MK 3, 6N, Polo III - Years 1994-2003
Part: Outside rearview mirror
Operation: How to replace the wing mirror on a Volkswagen Polo 6n

To replace the outside rear-view mirror of our Volkswagen Polo 6N we must first of all act from inside the door: remove the triangular gasket on the side of the glass, which is interlocking. You can see one of the bolts, while the other two are under the inside of the door. Let's take the window knob off, first: We push the safety up and the knob comes right off. We remove the plastic cover of the handle: below we will find two bolts which we remove, we remove the cover of the adjustment wheel, and the wheel itself: below there are two screws which we remove. We remove the safety from the door, and now we can remove the door panel. We now have the three mirror support screws visible, which we can now remove. We mount the new mirror, putting the three screws back in their place. We put the panel back in its place, closing it with the two screws located under the handle. We replace the wheel and its lid; the glass crank, the door lock and the triangular gasket on the side of the glass. The job is done.

Handbrake adjustment on Ford Ecosport

First remove the plastic profile at the base of the gear lever. To do this, slightly widen the side edges and carefully lift it to release it. There is no need to remove it completely, just move it forward to avoid bother. Now remove the plastic center console around the handbrake by first working from the rear to release it and lifting it until the brake lever passes. Also in this case it is not necessary to remove it completely but, paying attention to the connected cables, it can be stowed in front of the passenger seat. At this point we notice that at the base of the handbrake lever, on the front, we find a nut. By acting on it, with a 10 wrench, we can adjust the brake force, increasing it by turning the nut clockwise, or decreasing it by turning it counterclockwise. Once adjusted, the center console can be repositioned first, pressing lightly to engage it, and then the profile of the gearbox base.
