To disassemble the dashboard of a Volkswagen Golf, you need to use a thin object to pry off the trims that surround the entire dashboard. Start from the center and then loosen the screws that hold the radio and the control panel below. Next, remove the side trims on the passenger side and then the ones that surround the steering column. This will allow you to loosen the screws in the back, remove the central airbag, and take off the steering wheel. Then, all the components that were just removed can be replaced with new replacement parts.
