How to Replace the Ignition Cylinder in a Volkswagen Transporter Van?

In this tutorial, you will learn how to replace the ignition cylinder in a Volkswagen Transporter T3 van. First, disconnect the negative terminal of the battery for safety. Next, remove the lower cover of the steering column and the large central horn button. Then, undo the steering wheel retaining bolt using a 24 mm socket, disconnect the various connectors located at the bottom of the cylinder, and turn the key to the "ON" position. At this point, grasp the cylinder, pull it firmly towards you, and extract it from the column. Finally, follow the reverse procedure to fit the replacement.
