In this video, you will see how to change the battery in the key fob of a Volkswagen Atlas (the same procedure applies to the Jetta, Tiguan, and Golf): You will need a small screwdriver to pry open the top cover of the key fob. Inside, you will find the battery, which you can easily pop out by applying gentle pressure. It is a common CR2032 battery, readily available at any supermarket for a few dollars. Place the new battery back in, ensuring the correct polarity, snap the cover back on securely, and the job is done.
