Volkswagen Golf - Video tutorial

Model: Volkswagen Golf Golf V, MK 5, Golf 5 - Years 2003-2008
Part: Thermostat
Operation: How do you replace the thermostat of the Volkswagen Golf?

The replacement of the thermostat of the Volkswagen Golf is done by opening the hood, in order to have access to the components located in the engine compartment: the plastic cover of the upper part of the engine block must be removed. In this way, the alternator can be located, which must be removed from its housing by unscrewing the fixing screws and disconnecting the power cables: once the alternator has been removed, the screws fixing the tube for the passage of water underneath must be unscrewed. Inside this tube, the thermostat will be found, which can now be removed and replaced with a new spare part.

How do you adjust the clutch cable on the Kia Picanto?

To be able to adjust the clutch cable of the Kia Picanto you need to open the hood so that you have access to the components inside the engine compartment: in order to reach the cable you will need to remove some components on the right side, such as the battery and the air filter. Below them you will find the clutch cable, which will have to be adjusted by screwing or loosening the bolt placed at the end of the cable. This will make the pedal harder or softer; after the adjustment, it will be possible to assemble all the components by closing the hood.
