Replacing the Air Filter on the Volkswagen Lupo

Among the tasks in the maintenance schedule for the Volkswagen Lupo is the replacement of the air filter. To carry this out, place the vehicle on a lift and raise it to work underneath the engine. Position yourself near the wheel on the passenger side; you will find the filter cover just behind the bumper. Using a T30 Torx key, unscrew the screws that hold it in place: to remove one, you will need to insert the screwdriver into a hole in the bumper. Once the cover is removed, take out the old filter and replace it with a new one, ensuring correct installation. Close the cover, tighten it with its screws, and lower the lift.
