Video tutorial

To replace the engine air filter in a fifth-generation Volkswagen Polo, turn off the engine and open the bonnet. Locate the air filter box in the engine compartment, connected to the intake duct.

Loosen the hose clamp if necessary, and unscrew the fastening screws of the cover using a Torx screwdriver. Carefully lift the cover and remove the old filter element.

Clean the inside of the housing with a dry cloth, removing any dust and debris without allowing it to enter the intake duct. Insert the new filter into the housing, ensuring the seal fits correctly around the entire edge.

Reposition the cover, tighten the screws without over-tightening, and reconnect the hose, tightening the clamp. Finally, start the engine and check for any unusual noises from the intake.

How to Replace the Cabin Filter on the Ford Puma

To replace the cabin filter on the Ford Puma, detach the small cover located on the left side of the front passenger footwell: once this is removed, loosen the underlying screw so that you can detach the corresponding panel. At this point, locate the filter box underneath, which can be opened to remove the filter inside. The new filter can then be inserted, covering everything with the box and refitting the corresponding panel into its housing.
