How to Replace the Air Filter in a Volkswagen Polo

To replace the air filter in a Volkswagen Polo 4, open the bonnet and locate the air filter box in the engine compartment. Before accessing it, remove the intake manifold hose: loosen the metal clamp securing it to the filter box using a screwdriver or socket and carefully slide the hose off. Once the hose is free, disconnect any sensors or vents connected to the box. Now, unscrew the Torx screws securing the cover of the filter box and lift it off. Remove the worn air filter from the housing, clean the inside, and insert the new filter, ensuring the correct orientation. Close the box, re-screw the screws, reconnect the manifold hose, and tighten the clamp to ensure an airtight seal.
