How to replace the diesel filter on a Volkswagen Polo? Follow this video for the replacement: open the car door and pull up the engine compartment release lever located at the bottom left of the dashboard, lift the front bonnet and secure it. Using a socket wrench, unscrew the securing bolts on the container (disconnect the cables and various pipes from the filter) where the diesel filter is located. Remove the diesel filter holder, take out the worn filter and replace it with a new one, ensuring it fits well in the holder. Finally, refit the diesel filter container (connect the pipes and cables) and tighten the screws. Close the front bonnet when finished.
