Below we will see the main instructions on how and when to disassemble and replace the timing belt of the Volkswagen Lupo 1.4 TDI, but also of the Polo. The replacement of the timing belt, on this type of engine, must be carried out in an interval between 90,000 and 120,000 kilometres; if this mileage is not reached, it will have to be replaced every 7 years. To access the timing it will be necessary to disassemble the air filter box and the engine support, disconnecting the V-belt; then we remove the timing cover to access the belt and replace it!
