How to Remove the Badge from the Bodywork

If you need to remove the badge from the bodywork to replace it, it is advisable to do so during the warmer season, as exposure to the sun helps with this operation. Of course, sun exposure should be assisted with tools that emit hot air, specific for workshops, but common household appliances can also be used if necessary. It is also recommended to use fishing line, passing it behind the badge while keeping it taut as shown in the images. Make several passes with the fishing line until you can apply a flat-blade tool under the badge to gently lift the entire piece. Once the badge is removed, you can clean any adhesive residue with alcohol. To attach the new badge, it is advisable to use double-sided tape. Car model: VW Golf.
Required tools: hot air gun or hairdryer, fishing line, flat-blade tool.
