If the oil warning light has come on in your Volkswagen Golf, it means it's time for a service, which includes changing both the oil and the oil filter. Once this is done, you can reset the warning light by following the procedure shown in this tutorial. First, insert the key but leave it in the initial position, then press and hold the "0.0" button located in the centre of the dashboard, and simultaneously turn on the ignition. Keep the button pressed for about 2 seconds, release it, and press it again.
