In this tutorial, see how to remove the ignition cylinder in a Volkswagen, a straightforward task that requires good manual skills. First, open the bonnet and disconnect the negative terminal of the battery. Then, turn the steering wheel 90 degrees, locate the indicated slot, and with a flat-head screwdriver, unlock the airbag retaining clip. Once the airbag is removed, unclip the steering column cover, remove the steering wheel, and finally the control lever module. Now, remove the rivets of the ignition cylinder, disconnect the connector, and fit the replacement if necessary.
