How to Reset the Service Light of the Volkswagen Polo?

Model: Volkswagen Polo MK IV, Polo IV, Polo 4, MK 4, 9N - Years 2001-2009

To reset the Service light on the Volkswagen Polo, press and hold the button located at the centre of the instrument cluster while it is off. While continuing to hold the button, insert the ignition key into the switch and turn it to switch on the instrument cluster. Once the cluster is on, release the button and turn it to the left: this will cause the Service light to disappear completely from the instrument cluster, which can then be turned off permanently.
