How to Change the Key Battery of the Volkswagen Polo 6R

To change the battery of the remote control for a Volkswagen Polo 6R, you will need a CR2032 battery, which you can obtain from any hardware store, auto electrician, supermarket, or online. First, unlock the mechanical key by pressing the small button located on one side of the key, near the base, then extract the metal blade key. Open the remote control by prying at the slot left by the key blade; once done, you will see the battery held by a small plastic tab; pry it out and it will come out of its housing. Insert the new one, ensuring the correct polarity, close the shell, and replace the emergency key.
