To replace the external handle of the Volkswagen Polo, open the door to access the screws on the side near the lock. Once these screws are removed, use a tool to lever the lock cylinder out of its housing. After removing the cylinder, you can also slide out the handle and replace it with a new one. At this point, insert the new cylinder, securing it with the side screws and ensuring everything functions correctly.
