Replacing the battery in a Volkswagen Golf, as shown in this tutorial, is a very simple and quick operation. Before proceeding, ensure that the key is not in the ignition for safety.

Start by opening the bonnet, then loosen the nuts on both terminals, disconnecting the negative terminal first. Next, undo the bolt of the lower fixing bracket with a 14mm spanner, lift the battery out of its housing.

At this point, you can insert the replacement and follow the reverse procedure.
