What does Front Assist mean on Volkswagen vehicles?

The Front Assist emergency braking system is a safety feature that allows Volkswagen vehicles to drive more securely. The Front Assist system activates when the vehicle is in motion and is designed to cover braking as much as possible to avoid unpleasant driving incidents. This system cannot be deactivated, except by removing the sensor located under the front bonnet and reprogramming the control unit via the OBD port and onboard computer, but this action should be avoided. As shown in the video, its presence allows us to brake with less lead time but more safely.
