How to deactivate Lane Assist on Volkswagen vehicles?

To deactivate Lane Assist on Volkswagen vehicles, turn on the instrument panel by pressing the appropriate button next to the steering column: at this point, press the button located at the end of the lever on the left side of the steering wheel to bring up a specific menu. When the 'Lane Assist' option appears, press the OK button located on the right side of the steering wheel: this will remove the tick next to the option, and the system will be deactivated. To reactivate it, simply press OK again to bring back the tick.
