How to Replace the Timing Belt on the VW Polo 1.4 TSI

Today, you will learn how to replace the timing belt on the Volkswagen Polo 1.4 TSI. Open the bonnet and remove the air filter box and hose by loosening the two clips. Remove the turbo hose and disconnect the coil from cylinder number one, then disconnect the others. Remove the water pump and then focus on removing the timing belt. Lift the vehicle and remove the front left wheel and the wheel arch liner. Loosen the pulley from the tensioner and remove the worn belt. Insert the new belt and tighten the pulley to reapply tension. Finally, reassemble everything. Replace the wheel arch liner and wheel, lower the vehicle, and then reinstall the pump and filter.
