Volkswagen Polo - Video tutorial
Model: Volkswagen Polo
MK V, 6R, Polo 5, MK 5, Polo V
- Years 2009-2017 Today we will explain how to replace the timing belt of the Volkswagen Polo 1.4 TSI. We open the front hood and remove the air filter box and the tube, removing the two clamps. We remove the turbo tube and disconnect the coil from cylinder number one and then disconnect the others. We remove the water pump and then focus on removing the timing belt. We lift the car and remove the left front wheel and the fender. Loosen the tensioner pulley and remove the worn belt. Insert the new one and tighten the pulley to put it back in tension. All that's left is to reassemble everything. Insert the fender and the wheel, lower the car and then reassemble the pump and the filter.
