Let's see how to change the windscreen washer pump on a 2012 Volkswagen Polo: you can find the new part on Amazon with code B0B6B4L87L for £11.79, with free delivery for Prime customers. The entire operation takes place from the engine bay, on the right side.

Disconnect the negative battery terminal, empty the washer reservoir of fluid, either with the pump itself (if it still works) or with a mechanic's syringe. Disconnect the electrical connector and pull out the outlet hose; now you can remove the pump from the reservoir, which is held in place by a rubber ring.

Before installing the new pump, moisten the gasket of the new pump with a bit of fluid to facilitate insertion. Reconnect the connector and perform a functionality test.

If the problem is electrical and not mechanical, the dedicated fuse is located in the fuse box in the engine bay, in front of the driver; according to the video, it is fuse number 17. Check it before changing the pump.
