How to replace the battery on a Volkswagen Golf

Model: Volkswagen Golf MK 6, Golf VI, Golf 6, 5K1 - Years 2008-2012

Open the engine hood. Remove the battery cover to access the battery itself. Loosen the screws of the terminals for both the positive and negative poles. Remove the terminals from the battery. Remove the side plastic protection and unscrew the lower bracket bolt of the battery. Remove the old battery using the convenient handle. Clean any residue inside the battery container. Place the new battery in the container. Screw the 13 mm screw to the plate that locks the battery. Connect the terminals to their respective opposite poles. Screw the screws and lock the terminals with a 10 mm socket wrench. Mount the plastic battery cover.
