How to Replace the Key Battery of a Volkswagen Passat

Model: Volkswagen Passat B7 - Years 2010-2014
Part: Key

Start by pressing the button on the top of the key to release it from its housing. Remove the key and set it aside. Next, push the head of the key, which is the chrome part, to detach and remove it. This will allow you to also remove the rear cover where the key battery is located. Carefully extract the battery and replace it with a new, charged one. Reverse the steps to reassemble the components, and you're done!
