Inside the Volkswagen Crafter, the battery is located in the cabin: to reach it, go to the front passenger side and remove the clips that secure the footwell panel. Once these clips are removed, you can also pull out the panel to access the components underneath: the battery can then be disconnected from the respective power cables and extracted from its housing.

This allows you to insert the new replacement, covering everything with the previously removed panel.

How to Reset the Tire Pressure Light on a MG ZS?
