First of all, we open the hood of the car and start by unscrewing the cap of the brake fluid reservoir; we check that the level is at the maximum mark, topping up if necessary with the appropriate oil (usually DOT 4). Now we check the engine oil level using the dipstick, topping up or replacing the oil if necessary; we now check the level of the coolant, unscrewing the cap of the reservoir with the engine cold, topping up if necessary in this case too!
