How to Replace the Battery in a Volkswagen Golf Key

The first step is to identify which key you have, whether the new model with the black and silver logo or the old one with the blue logo. This will determine how to proceed with the battery change. Open the metal key fob and use a flathead screwdriver to pry in the gap to separate the two sections. This way, you can further separate these parts with your fingers and gain access to the battery slot. Now, simply replace it with the new battery and retrace your steps to reassemble.
