In this video we see where the auxiliary battery is located on a Volvo XC40: this battery is essential to meet the high electrical demand of this vehicle; in fact, the main battery alone would not be able to provide electricity to all the electrical components that are installed on this car. To access it, we need to remove the wheel from the driver's side (if it is left-hand drive); we also need to remove all the elements that make up the wheel arch, held in place by screws and clips, and we find the auxiliary battery at the bottom of the wheel arch, on a longitudinal beam, next to the horn group. It is held in place only by a couple of bolts and a lower bracket.
