On the Volvo smart key, the battery replacement is performed with the vehicle stationary and away from strong magnetic fields. The shell is detached by following the indicated opening, and the two halves of the cover are separated without forcing the pins. The battery is removed using a plastic lever, taking care to note the polarity. A new battery of the same type is inserted, ensuring proper contact alignment. The cover is closed by first engaging the guide teeth and then pressing along the perimeter until the snap is uniform. Finally, the door opening/closing is tested, and if applicable, the keyless ignition is checked to confirm the remote's power has been restored.
