Replacing the Key Fob Battery for the Volvo XC90

Model: Volvo Xc90 MK 2 - Years 2015-2026

To replace the battery in your Volvo XC90 key fob, first detach the cover without the Volvo logo by pressing the unlock button located underneath the fob and sliding the cover upward. Once detached, you will find a small lever that, when slid, releases the cover with the Volvo logo. Just slide it off as you did with the other half. To remove the battery, now turn its round cover to 'Open' with a screwdriver and use the same screwdriver to pry it off completely. Now replace the battery with a new CR 20/32 battery and reassemble the round cover and the two sides of the key fob cover.
