The main instructions in this guide will show you how to remove and replace the serpentine belt on the Volvo 400. First, open the cabin to access the upper part of the engine; then disconnect the tensioner, thus removing the serpentine belt from the various pulleys, as shown in the video. At this point, install the new serpentine belt in the correct direction, as well as the original one, ensuring it is correctly seated (by slowly turning the engine); lower the cabin again and start the engine, completing the replacement operation.
