Replacing the Cigarette Lighter Fuse on the Volvo 460

Model: Volvo 400 MK 1 - Years 1987-1997

The cigarette lighter sockets on the Volvo 460 are increasingly used to power small electronic devices, exposing them to the risk of overload, which may cause the fuse to blow. If you need to replace one, remove the upper part of the dashboard in front of the passenger seat to access the fuse board. Identify the fuse to change using the diagram on the right, and once found, extract it using the supplied tweezers. Install a new 15A fuse and check the operation by plugging a device into the socket. Refit the dashboard panel.
