Complete Removal of the Centre Tunnel

Model: Volvo S70 MK 1 - Years 1996-2000
Part: Center console tunnel

Start by removing the handbrake cover. Open the glove compartment and remove the ashtray, then unscrew the screws in the ashtray compartment and gently pull out the complete console, lifting it carefully to allow disconnection of the connectors located at the back. Using a plastic tool to avoid damaging the bodywork, pry at the base of the electric controls and remove the panel, taking care with the electrical connections that must be removed cautiously. Still using a plastic tool, pry at the base of the tunnel above the gearbox to release the plastic clips of the cover and remove it, disconnecting the connectors. Remove the screws at the bottom of the tunnel and the glove compartment, then disconnect all connectors. You can now remove the entire tunnel.
