Complete Removal of the Centre Tunnel

Model: Volkswagen Golf Golf IV, MK 4, Golf 4 - Years 1997-2003
Part: Center console tunnel

Open the drawer and remove the rear ashtray. Unscrew the screws from the ashtray compartment and slide out the complete console, lifting it gently to allow disconnection of the connectors located at the back. Using a plastic tool to avoid damaging the bodywork, lever at the base and remove the panel, taking care with the electrical connections that must be removed carefully. Still using a plastic tool, lever at the base of the tunnel above the gearbox to release the plastic clips of the cover and remove it by disconnecting the connectors. Remove the screws at the bottom of the tunnel and the glove compartment, then disconnect all connectors. Now you can remove the entire tunnel.
